Athlete, business owner, and mother of two, Raquel Stucky is built for success. She was inspired by her older brothers and became a much-decorated runner at Southwestern Collge in Winfield. Here in Kansas, Raquel owns the woman's state record for the marathon (26.2 miles) in a time of 2:44:58. That record-setting time in the 2014 Prairie Fire Marathon eclipsed the woman's record set in 1981. Her personal best in the marathon is 2:42:08 set in the 2012 Chicago marathon That's averaging 6 minutes and 18 seconds per mile. Her love of running carries over to her business, First Gear Running Company at 111 N Mosley. On many days you can still Raquel on training runs in downtown Wichita.
