Jeremy Kindy is the Director of Philanthropy for Kansas Children’s Service League. He has worked with KCSL for 4 years and has been a professional fundraiser in the Wichita area for 17 years. Jeremy graduated from Bethel College in North Newton KS in 1998 and has been married to his wife Becky and lived in Newton KS for the last 25 years. In his free time he golfs, plays frisbee golf, sings in a barbershop chorus and serves as a Trustee at his local church. He is working for KCSL because he learned to be a servant leader from his parents as they served as foster parents for infants who needed care. Jeremy is not only here today to speak to us about KCSL but is also considering joining the Rotary.
Kansas Children’s Service League has been operating in Kansas for 129 years. They are the official chapter in Kansas for Prevent Child Abuse America. The mission statement for KCSL is to protect and promote the well-being of children. KCSL walks alongside families who are raising children to help support and resource parents.
There will be a Wine Dinner Event Committee meeting immediately following our club meeting on June 14.

PAUL HARRIS FELLOW PRESENTATION
Monty Allen, Foundation Chair, presented a PHF+5 recognition pin to Dave Abbott at our last meeting. Dave's generous contributions support The Rotary Foundation's
mission, as stated on rotary.org:
"The Rotary Foundation helps Rotary members to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty."
REMINDER: June 30 is the deadline to make at least a $100 donation to The Rotary Foundation to get your name in the drawing for a week's stay at the Bowles' cabin in Colorado.
Rotary night at the
WIND SURGE GAME
Joey took a selfie of our group at my request.
Even though the forecast looked grim earlier in the day, the weather turned out wonderful for the evening game! A Rotary video was played (pictured above on left) and our Rotary District Governor, Fred Heismeyer, threw out the first pitch. Our club had 49 in attendance including our members and their guests.
Lawrence Elementary Lions provided cookies at our May 17th meeting as a thank you to our club for the work we've done with their school this year.

1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
