Christi Moore is the former owner of Cabaret Oldtown (now known as Roxy's Downtown) and has produced, directed and performed in shows in every Theatre in Wichita. Her New York credits include the National Broadway tour of the Wizard of Oz w/ Mickey Rooney. You can find Christi singing with her band, B-Side at various venues and events around Wichita. She is currently also serving as the General Manager of Roxy's Downtown.
Jesse Warkentin has played keyboard and Music Directed in every Theatre in Wichita. He first worked with Christi in 2005 and they have been buddies ever since. Just before 2020 threw us all a curveball, Jesse had just completed the International tour of American in Paris. Since being back in Wichita, Jesse continues to be sought after for his unmatched music abilities.
Paxton Burns, 11 years old, who started Paxton's Blessing Boxes with his mom to provide food for the needy, was our speaker last week. During the meeting, President Colin suggested that Paxton pass his hat and take up a collection for the Blessing Boxes. He collected $228! Thanks to those who contributed monetarily AND those who brought food items to stock the Boxes! If you spot a RED Blessing Box around town, feel free to drop off non-perishables to help stock it.

Next week is our End of the Year meeting. Committee Chairs will present a brief report on their committee's activities this past year and we will have the Passing of the Gavel.
Our Semi-Annual Committee meetings will be held during our regular meeting time on July 13. If anyone wants to serve on a different committee for our new Rotary year, please let Diane know before June 30!

WIND SURGE BASEBALL OUTING
We had a great time at our baseball outing last Saturday evening... even with the heat! There were around 300 people in attendance representing Rotary clubs in Kansas. It was fun to see all the different blue Rotary shirts from the various clubs. The picture at the top is the Rotary ad they ran during the game about Polio Plus.
