Stacey Wespi is a dedicated community leader and a 34-year veteran of the Wichita Fire Department. After starting his career as a Kansas-certified EMT in 1990, he joined the department as a firefighter in 1992 and rose through the ranks to become Medical Chief in 2019. Throughout his career, Chief Wespi has been a champion for local safety and education. He has spearheaded large-scale fire prevention programs for local grade schools, earned the USD 259 Golden Apple Award for his volunteer work, and received the American Red Cross Award for his outstanding service to the community.

HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT
Our Vocational Service Committee selected four graduating seniors to receive a $1,250 scholarship each. At last week's meeting, Randy Bowles, Vocational Service Committee member & Interact sponsor, introduced recipient Jameson Russell to the club. Jameson graduated from Bishop Carroll Catholic High School and plans to attend Wichita State University to study Industrial Engineering.
