Treating addictions by understanding trauma

Cody Beaton is a graduate of Wichita State University with a master’s degree in social work. His undergraduate degree focused on psychology. He previously worked in various positions at Prairie View, Inc. in Newton, Kansas, beginning in July of 2012. he served as the Director of the Addictions Treatment Center, an inpatient substance use treatment facility, from January of 2016 to November of 2019. Through extended clinical work and supervision, he was able to earn clinical licensure in both social work and addictions counseling in 2018. In July of 2020, he began his career with Mirror, Inc., assuming the position of South Central Kansas Regional Director. In this position, he oversees the new Mental Health/Substance Use Disorder office in Wichita, as well as the office in Hutchinson.

His ultimate objectives remain the same - to act as an advocate for patients and staff, assess case-by-case needs, and provide a supportive environment for recovery from drugs and/or alcohol. I possess excellent interpersonal skills and a great understanding of human behavior.

MONTHLY GROCERY SHOPPING
We need three more shoppers for our October Monthly Grocery project. Please let Diane know if you are available to help. Our club will provide the gift cards for our members to purchase groceries for needy families at Lawrence & Benton Elementary schools. We will need 2 pairs of shoppers each month during this school year. You choose the date that's convenient. The groceries will be delivered to the front porch to assist with COVID precautions.
 
Several of our WW Rotarians (Michael Phipps, Mark Hansen & Mark Chamberlin) were spotted playing in the Sunrise Rotary Golf Tournament last Monday.
