Our inbound RITE teacher from Panama, Dori, spoke to our club along with our RITE Committee, Dalia Hale (Sunrise), Shelli Kadel (former member) and Armida Hight (Honorary member) who gave background information about the RITE program.
RESIGNING 20+ YEAR MEMBER RECOGNITION
Last November, our Board voted to start recognizing members of our club who resign after 20 or more years of membership in our club. They will receive an inscribed marble paperweight and be invited to a meeting for the presentation as a thank you for their service in our club. They will also be invited as our guest to our Annual Christmas Luncheon.
Jack Flesher was our first recipient of this recognition, presented by Mindy Wagner, Membership Chair.

Benton Elementary 3rd grader recipients and their sponsoring teachers, along with our members, Heidi Bowen, DeAnn Sullivan and Terry Gardner who made the presentations on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. The honorees were Ashlyn Palmer (sponsored by her teacher, Mrs. Killgore) and Roman Beasley (sponsored by his teacher, Mrs. Robinson). It was a great classroom experience for all.
West Wichita Charitable Foundation
Grant Request Process
Due to the success of the Rotary Club of West Wichita’s fundraising efforts for our West Wichita Charitable Foundation (WWCF), we occasionally have a limited amount of funds available for additional charitable or educational initiatives.This year, the board has made available a total of $5,000.00 from our club’s Foundation fund to fund worthy projects brought forth by our members, in support of an educational or charitable initiative.
A list of the qualifications and guidelines for a grant request and the application will be emailed to you. Grant request applications may be submitted now through April 30, 2023. Funds for any approved project will not be disbursed prior to July 1, 2023.
