You’re invited!
In honor of Michael Phipps, a charter member of our club who passed away on January 21, 2025, our Board has established the Michael Phipps Memorial Scholarship to benefit students at the Redler Institute of Culinary Arts. This scholarship is funded through memorial contributions that were made to our West Wichita Charitable Foundation, along with support from our WWCF general funds.

In addition, the Phipps family generously contributed $5,000 to our WWCF, allowing us to fund an additional $1,000 scholarship
annually for five years. This year, two students will be awarded a scholarship to attend RICA.

A special event is planned to award the Michael Phipps Scholarships on Tuesday, September 30,  5:30  - 7:30 pm at the Institute. The student chefs will prepare some delicious hors d'oeuvres along with wine, beer, tea, and water.

We invite you and a guest to attend. There is no charge for our WW Club members. Guests and Satellite members are $20 each.

We need to provide the Institute with a number of expected attendees. The deadline to sign up is September 23.

Please let Diane Walker know if you plan to be there and the name of your guest.

The Redler Institute of Culinary Arts (RICA) at Butler Community College is located at 622 Cloud Avenue, Andover, KS*. This is in the retail center southeast of Kellogg and Andover Road.

*TRAFFIC TIP - Kellogg traffic can be very busy at this time, so using an alternate route might be wise (Central or 13th to Andover road, then south).
