Friends Concert Choir, under the direction of Rolaine Hetherington, will perform a selection of songs to usher in the holiday season!

We are planning to do our "Angel Tree" Christmas gifts and groceries for needy families but are waiting for family information. Watch for an email soon with updates!
Jennifer White, Executive Director, ICT SOS, was at our meeting two weeks ago and shared about the opportunities available for Rotarians to get involved in the RAHT committee or one of the subcommittees as well as the Groundbreaking and work days. She sent this information as a follow up:

"Thank you for your generous contribution of $10,000 to Outreach, Inc. a non-profit corporation, in support of our mission for safe water, food, education, and medicine."
Just as a reminder... this is the Tanzania Water project that our members collectively contributed $2,500 which was matched by our club's Foundation for a total of $5,000. An anonymous members also donated $5,000 which together these donations were used to purchase two water systems for school to provide clean water to nearly 1,300 students.

We will have 2 ringers per one hour shift at each of the doors. You can enlist family members to help and do anything (within reason ) to entertain or draw attention. We've had members in the past play Christmas tunes on their trumpet and a lot of other fun ideas! Or, it's also fine to just smile and ring the bell!

RIF (Reading is Fundamental)
Carrie Hendrickson, Downtown Rotarian, made an announcement during our meeting last week about the RIF program they have going in the Downtown Rotary club and ways you can help by reading to students. If you are interested in volunteering or have questions, call Carrie at 316-992-4264 or send her an email (her preferred method):
won $6 in the raffle last week. No raffle this week due to our Christmas luncheon. Proceeds from the raffle are used to provide groceries for families in need at Easter, Thanksgiving & Christmas.

The Christmasgrocery shopping & deliveries will be Saturday, December 21st, 9:00am at the Dillons @ Central & West.
Our Monthly grocery project will resume in January.
