INTRUST Bank Arena

AJ Boleski is the General Manager of INTRUST Bank Arena, Wichita’s premier entertainment venue, located in downtown Wichita, KS. AJ is a 20-year veteran of ASM Global, who was contracted by Sedgwick County to manage the 15,004-seat modern sports and entertainment facility.

INTRUST Bank Arena hosts 350,000 guests annually and has hosted nearly 4 Million guests since opening in 2010.  The Arena has consistently ranked in the Top 50 of all arenas nationally and the Top 100 worldwide. 

INTRUST Bank Arena has hosted such events as the 2018 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship First and Second Rounds, Metallica, P!NK, Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, EAGLES, Taylor Swift, Elton John, & Billy Joel.

In addition to managing INTRUST Bank Arena, AJ and his ASM Global Team have also managed the Orpheum Theatre in Wichita since 2013.

AJ is a member of the Rotary Club of Wichita and serves on the Executive Board for Visit Wichita along with serving as a member of the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Our thanks to Terry Gardner, Randy Bowles, Mark Hansen (organizer) Brian Goudie, Scott Hinderliter, Vern Klassen and Zach Hinderliter for representing our club by purchasing and delivering Thanksgiving groceries to four families in need.
 
Our Christmas grocery shopping crew for Saturday, December 18, 9:00 a.m., at Dillons on Central & West will be: Mark Hansen, Bob Broeckelman Scott Hinderliter, Heidi Bowen, Terry Gardner, Brian Goudie, Randy Bowles, Vern Klassen & Rod Brown. They will purchase groceries for four families in need from Benton Elementary.

Community Service Chair, Jodi Besthorn, has secured a wish list for four families in need from Lawrence Elementary. The list will be available for sign-ups at our meeting tomorrow then posted on-line.
You will need to make note of the gift information to have for shopping. No tags or descriptions of items will be printed.
Here are the instructions after you purchase the gift:
  1. Wrap your gift(s) without a bow
  2. Securely attach a tag with the recipient's name and the Gift # on the package.
  3. Bring the gift to our Rotary meeting at RHCC on December 7 or 14
Our Holiday grocery shopping crew, organized by Mark Hansen, will deliver the gifts & groceries.

HOLIDAY RAFFLE: Allan Sands drew a Jack and won $15. The pot this week will be worth over $202 if an Ace is drawn. The proceeds from the raffle are used to purchase groceries for our Monthly Grocery and Holiday projects.
ROTARY AWARENESS DRAWING: Rod Brown's name was drawn and he was present and wearing his Rotary pin so he won a gift card to Pizza Ranch.

Our next STAR Class will be held January 18, 11:30, before our club meeting. No STAR class in December.
OCTOBER BIRTHDAY DRAWING: June Costin's name was drawn so she will be given the opportunity to name a charity for our club to donate to.
