Chris Frank shouldn't be a stranger to anyone who's lived in Wichita for very long. Chris has worked as a television journalist in Wichita for more than 40 years.  He worked 39 years at KAKE-TV, Channel 10.  He covered several different reporting beats there during that time. Reporters like Chris, are not confined to just beat reporting.  He's reported on just about every tornado or other major weather-related event during his time there.   He's probably best known for his reporting on Wichita's aviation beat over a 25-year span. So, when he was asked to join KPTS, Channel 8, the public television station, he was asked to begin work on a major project of producing a documentary on Wichita aviation.  Chris produced the two-hour documentary titled, 'Wichita: The Air Capital.'  It covers the history of how Wichita became the Air Capital of the World. It's raised more in pledge drive money for KPTS than any documentary or single pledge drive event in the station's history.
He's just completed a second documentary soon to start airing called "Keepers: 150."  It's a celebration of Wichita's 150th birthday, with the gifting of 13 Keeper statues by the local civic group, Together Wichita.
