Isaac McNary is the Vice President of International Development for The Outreach Program, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Since 2009, Isaac has been involved in the packaging of over 60 Million meals for those most in need at home and abroad. In 2019 he began working on water projects for The Outreach Program and is involved in the development and deployment of The WaterPoint System, a water purification system. In 2022, Isaac began a project to install WaterPoint systems into Primary Schools in the Mkalama District.
Project Tumaini (Project Hope) is focused on providing safe water to 96 Primary Schools and over 70,000 students. As of January 2025, 31 schools have had WaterPoint Systems installed, providing safe water to over 23,000 students. The Rotary Club of West Wichita, through their donation, sponsored two of the systems installed on the Trip in January. Ed Frey, president of the West Wichita Club, traveled with Isaac and The Outreach Program to take part in the installation of these two systems, along with 13 other systems. Isaac and Ed will give an overview of their trip, their accomplishments, and the impact of this project.
The Old Town Club is once again selling a variety of flowers as their fundraiser to support their service efforts. This is their one big annual fundraiser so, if you need flowers, it would be a great opportunity to support them! They are bringing back the geraniums, impatiens, sweet potato vines, and callie mix flowers and adding gerbera daisies and purslane this year. You’re sure to find something that will brighten up your garden, patio or porch. Flowers will be ready for pick up in downtown Wichita, April 25-26, so they'll be here in time for Mother’s Day, if you’d like to get some flowers as gifts. Orders are due by noon, March 15.
