Mark your calendar! Our target date to resume our club meetings at Rolling Hills Country Club is June 16. That will need to be dependent upon any changes made between now and then by Governor Kelly. Rolling Hills Country will serve plated meals and tables will be spread apart with only 6 people per table. We will need to have a meal count for our meetings starting out so watch for the e-mail requesting that.
MESSAGE FROM OUR CLUB PRESIDENT
Good Morning Rotarians,
This is Memorial Day weekend, a weekend set aside to honor those who have died protecting our freedoms as Americans. It is also a weekend set aside to honor those of our families who have passed on. This year will be different in that we will not be able to attend those celebrations that honor our veterans. So, whether you are celebrating at a backyard cookout, a weekend at the lake, or time with family, take time to recognize and honor the service men and women, present and past, who have served our country, to preserve our freedoms. Also, take time to recognize and honor those who have given us our heritage. As Rotarians one of the best ways to honor these people is living by the Rotary motto of what we think, say, and do. John F. Kennedy put it this way: “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget the highest appreciation is not to utter the words, but to live by them.”

RUSSIAN LIBRARY GREETING
Message from DeAnn Sullivan: Elena, one of the Children’s Librarians from the Open World 2019 team, saw the videos of our club members reading books. She asked if we’d do a short video congratulating their library (The Albert Likhanov Belgorod State Children’s Library) for their All-Russian Library Day on May 27. She’ll share it on their social media. I gathered up the host families, drivers and a few others and we did a Zoom meeting and recorded it for her. Click on this link and hit play to see the short video greeting:
