Susan Moellinger is a woman who believes deeply in the power of compassion, purpose, and community. With more than 25 years of experience in senior housing, she devoted her career to ensuring that older adults receive the dignity, respect, and support they deserve.
But Susan’s journey didn’t stop there. Guided by a shared calling, she and her daughter, Jennifer Garrison, stepped forward in faith to create Passageways—a mission born from love, determination, and an unwavering belief that no veteran should ever be left behind. What began as a mother‑and‑daughter effort has grown into a beacon of hope for those facing some of life’s toughest challenges.
For the last eleven years, she has had a profound commitment to helping veterans experiencing housing insecurities. Through Passageways, this vulnerable population is offered not just shelter, but stability… not just resources, but renewed possibility. Her work reminds us that a single act of kindness can change a life, and a shared vision can change a community.
Through her leadership, her heart, and her relentless dedication, Susan continues to build pathways where veterans and their families can find safety, strength, and a future they can believe in.

Rotary Flashback...
Our club has a long history of baseball outings, beginning with Wichita Wranglers games at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium, accompanied by a well attended pregame picnic. Despite the change of ball teams over the years, we continued our tradition with outings to Wingnuts and then Wind Surge games, with a break from 2016–2019 when we gathered in the outfield pavilion at WSU to enjoy a picnic and Shocker baseball game. Several of the years have included the Sunrise Club and/or clubs from the District.

Over the past month I’ve been working with a local vendor to get our Rotary club apparel set up so members can order online - thanks to the Satellite Club for that prompt and providing the company referral! Kim is now helping finalize a few details before we launch.
You’ll soon be able to order your own club t-shirt, long sleeve shirt, or sweatshirt in purple or blue, featuring our club logo.
