We are planning to resume club meetings on June 16. RHCC will serve plated meals (we need a meal count!) and we have asked them to seat 6 per table.

MESSAGE FROM OUR CLUB PRESIDENT
Good Day, Rotarians,
Consider this “Thought for the Day”:

Considering this thought of the day caused me to think about this past year as your President. It has been quite a year. Yes, there were all the usual events; weekly meetings, special speakers, the book shelf project, open world guests, and planning for the next wine festival, just to name a few. And then there was spring of 2020; the physical and economic influences of the coronavirus, the time of quarantine that has changed life as we known it, the death of George Floyd at the hands of the police, and the ensuing demonstrations and riots that followed, and then no Rotary meetings since March. So as I look back I realize how grateful I am for the time I have had with you all each week. Now as I look ahead, I am hopeful that we can again start meeting together. Also, as I look ahead at the new Rotary year I am excited and hopeful about the leadership of our new President and his Board of Directors. And finally, as I look around and see a community that is upset and hurting, I want to become more aware of how I can be more helpful in bringing about hope and peace to those around us. I am looking forward to hearing from Paul White of Blue Sky Ranch on June 16th. He is one who is working to bring hope to under priviledged youth in the Wichita area. Hope to see you all then.

The Bug Lady was our guest speaker and she brought all kinds of creepy crawlers for show & tell! Our members were good sports about it while I kept my distance. :)
Grady Goff& Jonathan Roper were introduced as new members.
Rod Brown, Kandace Day and Rita Rowlen were presented with their Blue Badge upon completion of the Red Badge Program.
