WW Satellite Club Service Opportunity
On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, and Thursday, October 24, 2024, the West Wichita Satellite Club will be supporting Challenger Intermediate School and Discovery Intermediate School 6th graders from Goddard, KS, with their Pickleball Fieldtrip to Ralph Wulz Tennis Center. There will be a morning and afternoon session each day. Each session will have approximately 125 students.
The session schedule will be Morning Session 8:45 – 11:00 and Afternoon Session 11:45 – 2:00. Times could slight change. If you are willing to volunteer for both sessions on the same day, lunch will be provided! We will need at least 12 volunteers at each session (9 on the courts and 3 for hospitality and taking photos).
Our role will be to support the students on the 9 pickleball courts or hand out water and snacks at the hospitality table. If you are knowledgeable about the game of pickleball, please volunteer to help on court. If you are not familiar with pickleball, please come and help with the hospitality table, take pictures, or help at the game stations.
Thank you to the West Wichita Rotary for providing up to $250 for this project (bottled water, snack, volunteer lunches).
I will be asking the Riverside Novice Pickleball group for volunteers in the very near future. If we need additional assistance on the pickleball courts, I will reach out to the West Wichita Rotary members.
