TODAY'S MEETING
Jan 18, 2022 12:00 PM
“Documenting A Legend”

For the last 20 years, Brett has been a commercial and portrait photographer as well as the owner of T&J Studios in Wichita, Kansas.  He is a Wichita native and graduate of Wichita State University with a degree in Marketing.

In addition to his daily commercial and portrait work Brett has been able to produce a collection of fine art prints featuring Aviation, Landscape and Travel photography.  His work is on display in local galleries and adorns the walls of many local businesses.

For the past 6 years Brett has been the lead photographer for B29 Doc.  This role has given Brett the opportunity to travel as a crew member documenting the plane, crew, visitors and the many veterans who visit Doc on tour.

“Documenting A Legend” is a visual presentation from these travels, exploring the restoration, first flight and touring of B29 Doc.

BOOKSHELF ASSEMBLY
A group of us gathered to assemble 150 bookshelves last Thursday evening. The wood had already been prepped in November by several of our members so the final assembly only took an hour! We will have an all-club meeting at Benton & Lawrence Elementary schools on February 1st (in place of our regular club meeting) to hand out the bookshelves to the first grade students.

Those present: Roger Bowles, Bob Goebel, Vern Klassen, Rod Brown, John Mosley, Bob Broeckelman, Katie Dawes, DeAnn Sullivan, Joey Timmer, Bob Nelson, Dan Kreis, Heidi Bowen and Dave & Diane Walker.
Our thanks to all who were involved! A special thanks to Bob Goebel for providing the wood and supplies along with the use of his workshop and to Roger Bowles for providing the traditional "sawdust & glue" for refreshments (aka: cookies & eggnog)and the decals for the bookshelves. This being a transition year in leadership with this project, our thanks to outgoing leaders Roger Bowles and Bob Goebel and to incoming leaders Vern Klassen and Rod Brown
