It is always fun to look back at our Tuesday meetings and remember the education, fun, and fellowship we enjoy.

Wine Dinner has record year

The club's 7th Annual Wine Dinner raises more than 13-thousand dollars.

Rotary Connects the World and wine connected 112 Rotarians and guests who took part in the 7th Annual Wine Dinner on September 29.

That night saw a record of $13,569 raised. Those funds will support the club's ongoing community projects.

There were many highlights including the banter between our wine guide Ed Frey and out hat-wearing auctioneer Dr. Mike Ludlow.

RED BADGE PROGRAM

At induction, new members are presented with a temporary red badge to wear at our meetings. They are asked to choose five of the ten categories listed below and complete at least one item from each of those five categories (if there are multiple items to choose from). Upon completion, they receive their permanent blue badge. The goal of this program is to help new members expand their knowledge of Rotary and present opportunities for Rotary service and fellowship.

FOUNDATION CONTRIBUTIONS

We have 38 members who have contributed $100 or more during the rotary year and will be eligible for our Foundation drawing for a week's stay at the Bowel's cabin in Colorado.

Advocate for Adoption - A report on Susan's Kids

When Susan Peters retired from the TV news business in May of 2016 she had some unfinished business. She had built her Susan's Kids franchise into a powerful platform to find forever families of Kansas foster children. She wanted that effort to continue even though she no longer had a TV station behind her. She knew to put children on television worked and so Susan's Kids 2.0 was created.
Susan speaks about the success of Susan's Kids and her passion for Kansas children in foster homes.
