Service Foundation
For nearly 75 years (since 1927), the program of Rotary has been carried out on four Avenues of Service. These avenues — club service, vocational service, community service and international service — closely mirror the four parts of the Object of Rotary: Click on the name of the committee to see the current co-chairs and committee members.

Club Service: Involves all of the activities necessary for Rotarians to perform to make their club function successfully. Committee Activities: Membership Services (retention, membership drives, recognition & education), weekly raffle, weekly programs, club socials, etc.

Vocational Service: Is a description of the opportunity each Rotarian has to represent the dignity and utility of one’s vocation to the other members of the club and in the community. Committee Activities: High School Scholarships, RYLA, Interact, Professional Profiles, Fireside meetings, etc.

Community Service: Pertains to those activities which Rotarians undertake to improve the quality of life in their community. Committee Activities: Heavy involvement in a variety of activities with Lawrence Elementary, Salvation Army Bell Ringing, Necessities for the Needy, Holiday families, etc.

International Service: Describes the many programs and activities which Rotarians undertake to advance international understanding, goodwill and peace. Committee Activities: RITE teachers, International visitors, Ambassadorial Scholarships, etc.

Foundation Committee: Involves supporting the world-wide charitable activities, efforts and mission of The Rotary Foundation (TRF). TRF attempts to achieve world understanding and peace through local, national and international humanitarian, educational and cultural programs. Committee Activities: The Foundation Committee will engage in fund-raising for TRF's charitable programs, including PolioPlus, 3-H (health, hunger and humanity) Grants, Matching Grants for international service projects, Disaster Relief Grants, Ambassadorial Scholarships and Group Study Exchange (GSE) awards, among other programs. Members will promote giving to TRF and participation in its programs such as GSE.
