In 1987, the club started a tradition of holding a special luncheon to celebrate the holiday season. Spouses and friends are invited to partake in the great food and fellowship.
In 1988, the late David Weber arranged for musical entertainment by the Friends University concert choir. That tradition continues to this day.
Club members also select the names of local children who have submitted their holiday gift lists. Those gifts are purchased by members and later delivered to area families.

Our Rotary club funded a wrought iron fence project at the new City of Maize, Kansas Splash Park! The fence will act as a barrier for cars to keep the kids safe! It was a wet morning as it poured down on us much of the time, but we got the fence installed just in time for the kids to show up and play! Thanks to all who helped, the city is appreciative of our support and I'm appreciative of all your help making this happen! - Jamie Anderson, President

West Wichita Rotarians deliver tiny bookshelves to first graders at Lawrence Elementary and Benton Elementary. Each student received two books and decorative stickers.
This project is the club's oldest continuous community outreach and is a tangible symbol of our belief in reading and lifelong learning.
